I’m ready for a new year! Are you?

People do you know?! Have you heard what today is? Are you ready? Ahhhh my very most favorite time of the year. It’s a clean slate, a fresh page, the next chapter.

It is all about new chances to do great things. It is a time to make lists, lists in fresh clean notebooks on fresh clean pages of paper. Oh yes it is my favorite time of the year. It is  the time to plan. It is the time to make a new budget, think about organization of our home, chores for the kids, learning and growing in the new year. It is INDEED my most favorite time of the year!!!!! Ever since I can remember I have been a planner. No kidding I can remember waking up as a kid and planning out my day as I lay in bed. I remember planning for events in advance. I remember thinking about the order of my day at school and what I wanted to play on the playground first. It is ingrained in me. Even now I kind of make people crazy because I am always thinking ahead about what is coming around the corner. I have learned to be careful as to not overwhelm people but alas … it is just a part of me. This plays heavily into my love of the new year! In true Sara Beth fashion I have been giving a great deal of thought to my goals for 2016. I stopped making resolutions years ago. I never stick to them. I decided to focus on 6 goals for the year to come and they are as follows in no particular order. And are of coarse subject to change and take on new shape.

  1. Re-establish my “alone” time  with God. A time of devotion, prayer and immersion in His word.
  2. Complete my ASL interpreter classes
  3. Plant a container garden. I would love to have tomatoes, romaine lettuce, cucumbers and possibly potatoes. I have wanted to do this for years.
  4. Health : Track my food and water intake 6/7 days a week. Develop regular exercise habits 5/7 days a week.
  5.  WORK my business!
  6. Develop and maintain a regular blogging schedule.

So there you have it. The 6 goals cover a broad range. They can for the most part be worked on simultaneously and are all focused on self improvement.

So let me hear from you! Do you make resolutions? Do you have new goals? Are you excited to see 2015 out the window? Are you looking forward to a new year? Use the comment section and lets compare notes!

Much Love! Peace and blessings and HAPPY HAPPY NEW YEAR! SB
